Digital Marketing Workshop

Women Startup Accelerator Program to support Women Entrepreneurs in Aurangabad on 5th September 2019 at CMIA Aurangabad

Half a day seminar was organized exclusively for aspiring Women Entrepreneurs and also for those who have already started their venture and want to scale up their business by going global.  The CMIA’s Women Entrepreneur Innovation Facilitation Cell supported by GIZ intends to handhold women entrepreneurs in Aurangabad through required professional support and mentoring by team of experts and mentors.

Half a day seminar was attended by nearly 50+ women participants.

The Chief Guest, Ms Iris Becker, Founder of Let’s Bridge IT delivered an inspiring speech where she emphasized that starting on your own and making it big is not always going to be smooth ride. Entrepreneurship has its challenges and there would be a lot of highs and lows in the journey to success.

Ms. Natasha Zarine, Director, Eco Sattva, made a presentation on her journey as an Women Entrepreneur in the area of Solid Waste Management in Aurangabad.

Mr. Bhagwan Chandnani, Asst. General Manager SIDBI, enumerated the schemes available for encouraging women to start on their own. If women holds more than 51% stake in a venture, then there are very good schemes that would help her in financing her project provided she has a good CIBIL score.

Mr. Girdhar Sanganeria, President, CMIA, Mr Prasad Kokil, Director, MAGIC and past president CMIA, Ms. Rashmi Khurana, Anchor Mentor and Program Director (West), Mr Ashish Garde, Director MAGIC and past president CMIA and Mr. Tasvvar Ali, Cluster Manager, MSME Innovation Project, GIZ were also attended and interacted with Women Entrepreneurs.

CMIA’s MAGIC to host One Day Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in association with National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Dr. BAMU) on 31st August 2019, at Dr. BAMU Campus.
CMIA’s Marathwada Accelerator for Growth and Incubation Council (MAGIC) is organizing One Day Workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ (IPR) in association with National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Dr. BAMU) at Aurangabad on 31st August 2019, at 9:30 am to 4:30  pm in CFART Auditorium, Opp. Bajaj Incubation Center, Dr. BAMU Campus. As part of Marathwada Innovation Challenge 2019 initiated by MAGIC, a series of workshops and mentoring sessions are organised for the benefits of the registered applicants.

Objectives of the workshop
• To create awareness on Intellectual Property Rights and Patents.
• To develop Academic and Industrial research perspective.
• To protect and explore IPRs.
• To improve the IP in the Marathwada region, Maharashtra state.
• To impart Hands-on training on Patent search technique and Patent specification drafting.

One Day IPR Workshop will be facilitated by IP Experts and Faculties from National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), New Delhi. NRDC was established in 1953 by the Government of India, with the primary objective to promote, develop and commercialise the technologies / know-how / inventions / patents / processes emanating from various national R&D institutions / Universities. During the past six decade of its existence and in pursuance of its corporate goals, NRDC has forged strong links with the Scientific and Industrial community in India and abroad and has developed a wide network of Research Institutions, Academia and Industry and made formal arrangements with them for the commercialisation of know-how developed in their laboratories and is now recognised as a large repository of wide range of technologies spread over almost all areas of Industries, viz. Agriculture and Agro-processing, Chemicals including Pesticides, Drugs and Pharmaceuticals, Bio Technology, Metallurgy, Electronics and Instrumentation, Building Materials, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics etc. It has licensed the indigenous technology to more than 4800 Entrepreneurs and helped to establish a large number of small and medium scale industries.
The session will be conducted on the following topics: Introduction to Innovation, Technology Transfer and Commercialization by Mr. Saket Hardikar, Intellectual Property Rights: Basics and its importance by Mr. S. R. Pund, Patent Filing Procedure and Prosecution in India by Dr. Sanjeeva Majumdar, Identifying patentable subject matter in R&D: Excluding non patentable subject matter by Mr. Pankaj Borkar, IP Management by Mr. Kumar Gaurav Ojha, Steps to transform an Innovation Challenge project into an Entrepreneurial venture by Mr. Dipan Sahu and Practical Session on How to conduct a Patent Search? by Ms. Fatema Motiwala.

Business Idea Validation Session hosted by MAGIC on 16th February 2019, at CMIA, 10 Student Ideas from educational institutes got validated by Panel of Mentors from MAGIC. Experts given constructive and valuable feedback for further improvement. MAGIC providing platform for students and startups to pitch their ideas to the experts and get validated  their ideas.  Mentors Mr. Prasad Kokil, Director, MAGIC, Mr. Ritesh Deshmukh, VP, Mahyco, and Mr. Mukund Bhogale, Director, AITG Pvt. Ltd. were present and validated the ideas.

Two Days Design Thinking Workshop for Women Entrepreneurs

Marathwada Accelerator for Growth and Incubation Council (MAGIC) hosted a Two Days Design Thinking Workshop for Women Entrepreneurs on 2nd  & 3rd February 2019 at Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology, SGGSIE&T, Nanded for the students/professionals and faculties  32 participants attended and graduated from Design Thinking Workshop level I.  Design Thinking Workshop for Women Entrepreneurs is initiated to promote women entrepreneurship and women led innovation projects in Marathwada Region. 2 days Workshop was hosted in associated with Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology, (SGGSIE&T) Nanded and Ycenter Mumbai.
